Paws for a Cause: Bringing Christmas Cheer to Pets in Need

At Quinns Training Services, weโ€™ve always been known not just for our training expertise, but also for our love of animals. In fact, every single member of our team owns either a cat or a dog, and our Cardiff training centre has become affectionately known as a pet-friendly workplace.

A few years ago, we made the decision to allow staff to bring their furry friends into the office for health, wellbeing, and morale purposes – and itโ€™s safe to say itโ€™s been a huge success. Delegates attending our training courses love it too! With their permission (and with allergies always taken into account), puppies and dogs have joined us in the centre, bringing smiles and comfort to learners during breaks. Many delegates say their favourite part of the day is relaxing in the sofa area with a cup of tea, a wagging tail, and a borrowed furry friend by their side. And if youโ€™ve ever tried to eat your sandwich near a dog, youโ€™ll know the pets probably love the delegates even more!

Weโ€™ve even started receiving requests from delegates in advance, asking if the pets can be in attendance during their training days. For us, itโ€™s about more than just learning – itโ€™s about creating an environment where people can feel comfortable, relaxed, and supported while achieving their qualifications.

Here’s the Quinns Training Services pet team…

Why a Pet Food & Toy Drive?

This Christmas, we want to take our love for animals a step further by launching the Quinns Training Services Pet Food & Toy Drive. Sadly, not all cats and dogs are lucky enough to have a warm home, a loving owner, or a Christmas stocking hanging above the fire. Many will spend the festive season in shelters, waiting for a family of their own.

Local pet charities do incredible work, but often they only have enough resources to cover the basicsโ€”food, water, and medical care. Extras like toys, treats, or Christmas comforts are often luxuries they canโ€™t provide. Thatโ€™s where we want to step in.

By collecting donations, we hope to bring a little extra joy to pets in need this festive season. Whether itโ€™s a bag of unopened cat food, a box of dog treats, or a toy to keep a shelter pup entertained, every single item will make a difference.

How You Can Help?

Weโ€™re asking for donations from:

  • Our staff team
  • Our delegates attending training courses
  • Our partners and neighbours within the building
  • Our valued clients
  • Anyone in the surrounding area of Cardiff

๐Ÿ‘‰ All donations must be unopened and un-used, within date, and suitable for cats, dogs, or small pets.
๐Ÿ‘‰ You can drop them off at our training centre in Cardiff anytime up until 19.12.2025.

Once collected, weโ€™ll deliver everything to local pet charities to make sure it reaches the animals who need it most.

Why It Matters

For us, this initiative isnโ€™t just about donations – itโ€™s about community. We know how much our pets mean to us, and we want to share a little of that love with animals who donโ€™t yet have a forever family. If we can make a shelter dog wag its tail with a new toy, or give a cat a full belly on Christmas morning, weโ€™ll have achieved something special.

Together, we can make sure that no animal feels forgotten this Christmas. ๐Ÿ’›

If youโ€™d like to support the Quinns Training Services Pet Food & Toy Drive, please bring your donations to our office – weโ€™d love your help in making Christmas a little brighter for our four-legged friends.

โœจ Because at Quinns, we donโ€™t just train people – we spread kindness too.
