FAQs
Can I interact with the trainer during the online training?
If you are undergoing training via E-Classrooms, you can communicate with the trainer. You must be able to communicate through your computer/laptop or tablet using a built-in microphone or headset and you must have the ability to turn your camera on. The trainer must be able to hear and see you during the course. These are the rules set out by the awarding bodies that we are an approved training provider of. Our trainers have the right to ask you to leave an E-Classroom course if you cannot meet all of the requirements deemed necessary to complete the course.
What role does the trainer play in online training?
Our QTS trainers teach skills and knowledge to our delegates so they are prepared to carry out their jobs safely and in-line with certain regulations. The trainers also help delegates to improve upon already-established skills. Our trainers provide delegates with relevant materials, exercises and personal experience during the courses whether they are conducted Face-to-Face or online via E-Classrooms.
Is the E-Classroom training identical to the Face-to-Face training?
Our trainers try to provide the same experience during E-Classrooms as they would during Face-to-Face courses. There are some differences for example, logging into the call online rather than turning up to a physical venue and using a computer/laptop or tablet rather than sitting in a classroom. As a training provider, we will never host E-Classroom training if the course isn’t allowed to be trained online. We do hold courses Face-to-Face that are only allowed to be held in person and not online. The process is very similar and there will still be opportunities to talk to the trainer as well as complete an exam (if the course requires one).
What is the format of the final assessment for QTS courses?
It is very dependent on the course that is being carried out. Some courses don’t require an assessment but others do. Some courses such as, Manual Handling, have a practical assessment rather than just a paper exam. All the information for the specific course can be found in the joining instructions of the course you are booked onto. These joining instructions will be sent to you in advance. You can also call the office to ask the friendly team at QTS any questions relating to the exam or anything else.
Are the training materials the same as those used in a Face-to-Face course?
Yes, the training materials are specific to the type of course being carried out. Training materials will be sent to candidates either via email or physically in the post depending on the type of course that is being conducted.
Are there any specific etiquette guidelines for the online training?
There are etiquette guidelines for both Face-to-Face training and E-Classroom courses. These guidelines are included in all joining instructions regardless of how the training is carried out.
