WIRS Accreditation (Water Industry Registration Scheme)

WIRS accreditation enables contractors to become recognised providers or Self-Lay Organisations (SLOs) under a scheme endorsed by Water UK and accepted by all water companies.

To achieve WIRS accreditation, your business must demonstrate compliance with the scheme’s detailed standards. This includes producing robust documentation—risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work—and evidence of management oversight and quality assurance. Additionally, engaging a qualified WIRS technical advisor is a mandatory requirement.

How We Help:

We develop WIRS-compliant documentation specific to your business operations, from individual procedures to fully integrated management systems. Acting as your WIRS consultant, we guide you through the process to ensure you meet all requirements in a cost-effective and streamlined manner.

Available WIRS Scopes Include:

  • Design
  • Project Management
  • Construction of Mains and/or Services
  • Construction of Routine Mains Connections (with prerequisite construction accreditation)

NERS Accreditation (National Electricity Registration Scheme)

NERS accreditation allows companies to undertake contestable works within electricity distribution, either as a provider or on behalf of a Network Operator (NO).

Contractors must demonstrate the capability to meet scheme requirements through detailed, NERS-compliant documentation and systems. Risk assessments, method statements, safety protocols, and quality controls are all essential. You must also appoint a qualified NERS Technical Advisor and/or Assessing Officer depending of the scopes of accreditation required.

Our Expertise:

We develop and implement documentation tailored to your operational model, ensuring you meet all technical and procedural standards. As your NERS consultant, we assist with maintaining compliance while reducing disruption and cost.

NERS Scopes Include:

  • Design
  • Project Management
  • Cable Laying (LV to 132kV)
  • Cable Jointing (Dead & Live – LV to 132kV)
  • Overhead Lines (Wooden Pole/Steel Tower up to 132kV)

GIRS Accreditation (Gas Industry Registration Scheme)

GIRS accreditation certifies your company as a GIRS-Registered Utility Infrastructure Provider (UIP), allowing you to work on gas infrastructure up to 7 bar. Accredited scopes may include connections, disconnections, or service alterations, depending on the level achieved.

To become GIRS accredited, you must submit comprehensive, scheme-compliant documentation and prove your management systems meet industry standards. A GIRS Technical Advisor is also required as part of the process.

Our Support:

We offer fully customised documentation and process development tailored to your business model. In our role as GIRS consultant, we manage the accreditation process on your behalf, ensuring continued compliance and operational excellence.
