Description

The NERS COSHH & Isocyanates in Electrical Jointing e-learning course covers everything a NERS- registered operative needs to know about the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health with a particular focus on the risks from jointing resins.  

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:

• Understand the purpose of the COSHH Regulations 2002 and who tehy apply to
• Identify employer and employee duties under COSHH
• Recognise hazardous substances, their forms and how they enter the body
• Apply the hierarchy of control and understand health surveillance
• Understand the specific risks of isocyanates in cable jointing resins
• Know the controls, PPE and emergency actions for working with resins

Assessment

Understanding of the course subject is verified by assessment questions after the learning modules.  

Certification

On successful completion of the course, learners will receive a certificate with an expiry date of one year from the date of assessment.

This course costs £20+VAT per learner.

Prerequisites

There are no academic pre-requisites for this course but it is suggested that learners have a good working knowledge of English.

Delegates will require a laptop or computer with good internet access for this course.
