A Day of Networking and Celebration
The IGEM Christmas Lunch is a highlight of the industry calendar, bringing together professionals to celebrate achievements, share ideas, and strengthen relationships. This year’s event aimed to build on the success of 2023, which saw over 200 attendees enjoy a delightful three-course meal, accompanied by complimentary wine. Heather appreciated the chance to engage in meaningful conversations, gain valuable feedback about trends in the gas sector, and promote Quinns Training Services’ bespoke training offerings tailored to the industry.
A Wonderful Evening of Networking and Festivity
The Christmas Lunch was the perfect setting for networking, with an engaging atmosphere that allowed for meaningful conversations and the strengthening of professional relationships. It was a pleasure to connect with so many like-minded individuals, all while enjoying a delightful evening in great company.
A fully licensed bar was available throughout the evening, adding to the festive ambiance and ensuring everyone had a chance to relax and enjoy the occasion.
Supporting Charitable Causes
The event featured a charity raffle, and we were proud to support two incredible causes—Pendleside Hospice and Take Heart.
- Pendleside Hospice provides holistic care for individuals with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, while offering support to families.
- Take Heart, the charity chosen by this year’s Chair, works to provide care and comfort to patients at the Yorkshire Heart Centre, offering everything from free bedside TV and internet to family accommodations and rooftop gardens.
Both organisations are doing invaluable work, and we were honoured to contribute to their efforts through the raffle and donations.
Memorable Entertainment
The evening was highlighted by a talk from Phil Thompson, former Liverpool football legend, who shared captivating stories from his incredible career. His anecdotes about playing under iconic managers Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley, as well as his numerous accolades, were both inspiring and entertaining.
Heather was also treated to a live performance by the incredibly talented Sam Wray, a rising star in the music world. With his soulful voice and exceptional piano skills, Sam brought a touch of magic to the evening, performing his hits to the delight of all attendees.
A Heart-warming Celebration
Overall, the IGEM Annual Christmas Lunch was a wonderful celebration of the season, offering not only a chance to enjoy great food and company but also an opportunity to support two charities that are making a real difference. We were delighted that our CEO could attend, as it was inspiring to her to see so many people come together for such a meaningful cause.
