A message from Heather:
Welcome to Quinns Training Services (QTS). I founded this business more than 10 years ago after spending the earlier parts of my career working within, and training internally for, large multi-utility construction organisations. During my time at these companies, I worked firstly within the design of traditional utilities and then moved into departments working on more progressive technologies that are coming into their own today, such as district heating, fibre to the home and reed beds. From there I moved to the SHEQ team where I became a trainer and internal auditor, learning the requirements for compliance with the multiple accreditations and registrations needed by businesses such as these. After I left this business and began working for a consultancy, QTS was founded to provide high-quality training that compliments the utility and construction industry and meets their compliance and accreditation needs.
At the time the business was focused on providing consultancy services around accreditations with training required for these accreditations as an extra service. As we have grown and developed over the intervening years, training has become our primary focus, not just for the utility and construction industry but for any organisation who needs high-quality, accessible and relevant training for their staff.
These services are now the very centre of our business, and my team of incredibly friendly, helpful staff are there for our customers to provide them with a quick and competent service. We think the most important things for our customers are clear and regular communication, reliability, flexibility around tough schedules and the value we bring to their organisation.
We also love to provide a bespoke service to our customers, producing internal training courses and where needed approving them through one of our awarding bodies. As an Approved Training Organisation for CITB and EUSR we can perform this role and claim grant funding from CITB for levy payers for any qualifying courses that attract it in the industry. We would be more than happy to explain what you can get back to fund your development needs when training with us.
Here in Cardiff at our head office we provide a comfortable and welcoming training environment, with practical facilities close by for plant and equipment related training and, of course, we can train all around the UK, including the Isle of Man, Channel Islands, and Northern Ireland – as well at your own venues or one of our preferred hire locations so wherever you are based we would be happy to help!
