And this year, we’ve made huge strides in that journey—thanks to the brilliant work of three talented interns from Cardiff University.
Over the past few months, Jyoti Roy, Tarun Karadagatti, and Dileep Raju have brought enthusiasm, innovation, and technical expertise to QTS as they helped us digitise core areas of the business. All three students come from Data Science and Data Analytics backgrounds, making them the perfect partners for our ongoing digital transformation.

🚀 Why Digitisation Matters at QTS
For us, digitising the office isn’t just about upgrading systems—it’s about upgrading the QTS experience.

Admin tasks are necessary, but they shouldn’t dominate a person’s day. Thanks to these interns, we are closer than ever to a workplace where technology handles the labour—so our people can look up, think big, and make an impact.
🛠️ What Our Interns Have Built
1. Gap Analysis System for Our Consultancy Arm
As part of our Health & Safety Consultancy service, we help clients maintain up-to-date policies and remain compliant with legislation and best practice.
With some clients trusting us for years, ensuring their documentation stays accurate and aligned is critical.
Our interns helped us digitise and streamline this by developing a gap analysis tool that:
- Identifies missing or outdated policy elements
- Supports our consultants in quickly spotting compliance risks
- Reduces admin time so more energy can go into strategic safety support
This upgrade enhances one of our most established service areas – making it smoother and more responsive for our clients.
2. Custom Presentation AI Tool for Tailored Training Courses
As an approved ATO, QTS has the unique ability to certify our own courses. Many clients come to us with highly specific training needs that aren’t met elsewhere—so we design completely bespoke courses for their teams.
Our new AI-powered presentation tool, built with help from the interns, supports our trainers in:
- Creating tailored course content faster
- Ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Producing visually engaging presentations
- Matching the exact policies, procedures, and requirements of each client
This is especially valuable during Safety Stand Down Days, where we train an entire company on its internal processes in a single coordinated event.
The result? Clients get truly personalised training, and our trainers gain a powerful tool to bring their expertise to life.
3. Internal Administrative Sync Tool
Admin is essential—but it shouldn’t be a barrier to creativity, client care, or strategic thinking.
The interns helped create an internal administrative synchronisation tool that:
- Automates repetitive tasks
- Keeps data consistent and centrally managed
- Reduces manual work
- Supports better communication between teams
This tool gives our staff more time to do what humans do best: innovate, collaborate, and solve problems.
