One of our internal trainers, Mike Pratt, received outstanding feedback following a recent EUSR desktop audit, demonstrating not only his expertise but also the strength of our training approach.
Exceptional Feedback for an Experienced Trainer
The EUSR audit highlighted Mike’s ability to bring real-life industry experience into training, effectively reinforcing key learning points. His partnership with the Quinn administration team was commended, and his responses to scenarios, learner ID requirements, and assessment approaches were described as “detailed and well thought out — not something we see regularly.”
With over 30 years of experience across the construction industry and fire service, Mike’s knowledge and practical insight make him a valued trainer. The audit concluded that there were no concerns, and Mike was rated low-risk (green) based on EUSR’s RAG process — a fantastic achievement!
We’re thrilled to have such a high-calibre trainer on our team and proud to see his hard work recognised in this way.
What the EUSR Desktop Audit Means
EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) supports training excellence across the sector. Once approved, trainers and providers like QTS can display EUSR logos on websites, marketing materials, certificates, and communications — demonstrating credibility and adherence to industry standards.
EUSR also maintains ongoing oversight:
- Monitoring training, assessment, and administration activity.
- Conducting at least one audit per year, including sampling delivery, assessment, standardisation, and IQA activities.
This ensures that training outcomes remain reliable and consistent, supporting the development of a safe, skilled, and competent workforce.
Meet the Teams Behind EUSR
The EUSR framework is supported by three key teams:
- Support Team – Processes all registrations, maintains accurate records, and responds to queries from employers and individuals across the sector.
- Product Management Team – Designs and develops schemes, ensuring relevance and validity for employers, supporting recruitment, upskilling, and workforce development.
- Quality Team – Approves and monitors trainers and providers, working with stakeholders to develop training programmes that are trusted, safe, and effective.
QTS and EUSR: A Longstanding Partnership
QTS has been a part of the EUSR network for over a decade, providing approved courses for the construction sector. In addition to delivering high-quality programmes, our team of in-house experts has designed bespoke training courses that have been accredited by EUSR, helping companies upskill their workforce with professional training delivered by experts.
