Last week, our Director Heather Pippin and Account Manager Megan Pippin had the pleasure of attending the EUSR Approved Provider Conference – and what a brilliant day it was!
The event brought together training providers, industry leaders, and EUSR representatives to share updates, ideas, and practical strategies shaping the future of the energy and utilities sector. From technical developments to inspiring success stories, the conference offered a wealth of valuable insight – and a great opportunity to connect with peers and partners from across the industry.

Highlights from the Day
The agenda was packed with engaging sessions and informative updates, covering:
- SHES and CSCS card developments
- Optimising Endorsed Training Programmes (ETPs)
- Promoting EUSR schemes
- Energy & Environment Awards Qualifications
Each session provided actionable insights for training providers striving to grow their businesses, strengthen their delivery, and play a central role in supporting the industry’s evolving skills landscape.
Celebrating Collaboration and Shared Success
A huge thank you to the EUSR team for hosting such a well-organised and engaging event, and to the brilliant guest speakers who shared their experiences and expertise:

- Steve Sharp from 3t | Training Services (UK) – for an inspiring presentation on the collaborative development of the Energy & Environment Awards Level 3 Substation Fitter Qualification. A great example of what can be achieved when everyone is aligned around a shared goal.
- Chris Gearren, MSc, CMIOSH from Groundforce Training – for demonstrating the tangible value that Endorsed Training Programmes (ETPs) deliver to approved providers.
- Jonathan Storey AIOSH from Four Storey Training Limited – for sharing practical LinkedIn strategies to promote EUSR training and engage audiences effectively.
Opportunities Ahead
As highlighted during the conference, the energy and utilities sector is on the brink of major transformation.
Over the next few years, more than 312,000 new roles are expected to be created, while over 100,000 experienced professionals are set to retire.
This shift presents both a skills challenge and an exciting opportunity for training providers to shape the next generation of talent, ensuring the sector remains equipped to meet its net zero ambitions.
At Quinns Training Services, we’re proud to be part of this journey – helping to deliver the high-quality training and workforce development the industry needs to thrive.

Events like the EUSR Approved Provider Conference highlight what makes this sector so special — collaboration, shared purpose, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you once again to David Morgan, the EUSR team, and everyone involved in making the day such a success.
